Adobe MAX Follow Up

Always seeking new ways to keep the fire burning.

What do you get when you combine delicious California weather, 10,000 creatives and innovative technology that pushes the boundaries of creativity? Adobe MAX 2016.

Among the plethora of creative leaders, designers, developers, strategists, video pros, and photographers, were four of our very own right-brain thinkers representing M+Co. Adam, Ryan, Naz and Veronica attended the Adobe Creative Conference in San Diego to have a seat at the cool kids table.

As creatives in the field of design, technology and marketing, our team is always seeking new ways to keep the fire burning. And what better place to do so than at one of the most renowned creative conferences. In between posing in front of hand-lettered murals, eating desserts from a conveyor belt, and hanging with industry leaders like Quentin Tarantino and Zac Posen, our team attended MAX sessions and labs to learn from real-world case studies of success.

Our talented team knows that in order to preserve their skill, they must be disciplined in daily information gathering. So, they sought out to attend sessions ranging from “Drone Invasion: The Evolution to Flying Cameras” to “Users Are People Too” and a little of everything in between. Here are some of our collective most inspiring moments​:

+ When it comes to consumers, play is the future of digital brand engagement. Play, meaning any sort of interactivity whether it’s with print materials or with videos on a web page. Thus, the more you get a consumer or prospect client to play, the longer they will learn about you and the more likely they are to contact you.

Design is like an onion. The design process is peeling the layers of the onion until we get to the center, which is the finished product. Always remember you can’t get to the center of the onion by just peeling one layer.

+ To refine your skills, you must be willing to self-learn. With the abundance of tools at our fingertips, we must have the drive to explore and learn each one. Many of the top industry leaders teaching the sessions, although had formal education in the design field, had risen to their level of expertise due to their passion. They learned each tool and retaught themselves different ways to use them.

+ And so much more that we can’t write it all here.

After three days of creative content overload, we said goodbye to the warm weather and greeted the cold temperatures of a Philadelphia November. Our team came back home re-energized and with innovative ideas inspired by our design heroes and peers.
