|Project Exploring Mexico's Street Food Culture||Year 2016|
With a plethora of food magazine circulating today, I wanted to create a magazine that would cater to the true food adventurer. There are many publications dedicated to providing the reader with recipes and many more publications with pages of travel tips, but none have successfully merged the two. I sought out to create a magazine that married both food, culture, and travel to appeal to the adventurers of the world.
With a deep love for food and culture, the process began with intense research of the most vibrant cultures and their history with food. This design is for the Mexico feature. Thus, the colors became bright to pay homage to the beautiful architecture and handmade goods of this country. I also included hand drawn elements that hint at the Mayan and Aztec influence.
Fork in the Road is a magazine dedicated to exploring street food culture around the world. Created for those who love to travel and explore. The magazine includes curated articles on where to find the best street food in Mexico, how to order like a native, and on Mexico’s history with food.
