To fully develop a brand and graphic identity, brand statement and messaging, and all related image components for a new records and information management industry leader that was doubling in size through the acquisition of a similarly sized organization. The new brand, while not using a new name, needed first and foremost to convey the company’s new strength, vitality and extraordinary capabilities in both existing markets and those it was entering as a result of the acquisition. All of this to be accomplished in fewer than three weeks’ time so it could be rolled out on the day of the announcement of the accomplished acquisition transaction!
After meeting the Access Executive Team for the very first time in mid-August 2012, we went to work to develop concepts for all brand components in time to share them with the Team two weeks later. As part of the process, an entirely new name for the company was conceived and developed in an effort to definitely determine if the current Access name would withstand the transition and more-than-adequately support the anticipated, dramatic growth that would quickly ensue. Simultaneously, the new Access “look and feel” was fully developed so that a final decision could be quickly made.
At the subsequent Exec Team meeting, all options were heatedly debated and Muhlenhaupt + Company’s recommendations wholeheartedly embraced resulting in an immediate engagement for the firm to handle the entire rebrand, all internal and external communications related to the acquisition, development of “the new Access” website, new uniform designs for all Team Members and all related branding and communications components.
Muhlenhaupt + Company remains today responsible for the full range of Access’ branding and communications efforts and is truly regarded as an integral member of the Access Team.
Participating in the company’s 400% growth (growth that has earned the company a place on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies in 2016 for the eighth year in a row) has been quite an incredible ride. We have enjoyed collaborating with the Access Leadership through all of its acquisitions since Retrievex (#43) until the most recent, AccuStoreNW (#107), and annual revenues growth from approximately $40 Million just prior to the Retrievex acquisition through today’s $285 Million.
Not least among the most fun aspects of the Access engagement: each $100 Million milestone with the responsibility of coordinating every aspect of the celebrations and sharing in all the excitement surrounding them!
